The Item View Page

The Instruction Area

After you click Choose to select a Section for editing, you will see the IN2U Instruction Area in place of the Time Dial. If you forget your options at any time, consult this area for guidance. Depending upon what you're doing, this area will present you with different instructions and buttons.

The Pit

Below the Instruction Area is "the Pit." When you first enter the Item View Page, there will be nothing in the Pit. If you want to work on an item, you will need to pull it into the Pit for maintenance. If there is no item in the Pit, you will need to select one for editing. Any modifications you perform to an IN2U Item will be displayed in the Pit for previewing purposes.

The Item List

The bottom of the Item View Page is reserved for a listing of all of your page's Items. This is where you select Items for manipulation.

Each Item has a number, a schedule, and three action buttons assigned to it. To perform an action on an Item, click the corresponding button to the right of its listing.

Note: If you did not finish modifying an item the previous time you were using IN2U, your item may still be in "The Pit." IN2U will remember the Item you were working on and resume where you last left it. To finish editing an Item, you will need to "Insert" it back into your page, or "Cancel" your edits.

Action Buttons

The Clone Button

Cloning an Item makes an exact duplicate of that Item for you to Edit or Insert back into the page. This is useful for making new Items that share an existing Item's characteristics.

The Edit Button

Clicking the Edit Button will take you to the Edit Item Page. You can modify the placement of your Item within its Section, the Schedule of the Item or the Content of an Item.

The Delete Button

To delete an Item, click its Delete Button. The Delete screen will ask for verification.

Remember: IN2U Sections are assigned Maximum Viewable Items by your Web designer. You can have any number of IN2U Items programmed for display throughout the life history of the page, but the page will only display up to the Maximum Viewable Items at a time.

Leaving

To leave the Item View page, press the Done button at the top right of the page.
