Tool
The Image Content
Tool will appear whenever your Item contains an image. The
Item's image will appear as a thumbnail, or smaller image to
the left in the tool. There are buttons which allow you to
choose from one of two libraries on your Web site, or to
upload a file from your computer.
The
Image Library Browser
If you would like
to select a file from either the Original Images Library, or
the My Images Library, you will be using the Image Library
Browser.
Select a File from the list and click the View
Button. A preview of the selection will appear on the
browser below the File List. If you like what you see, click
the Accept Button. You will need to click the Apply Button
to view your uploaded image in The Pit.
Original Images
Original Images are
the pictures we created and placed on your Web page. If
you ever need to reuse one of the original Images again, you
can find them in this library.
My
Images
My Images is a
library of uploaded files from your computer. Whenever you
upload a file, it goes into this library.
Upload
File
You can send files
from your computer to your page with the Upload File Tool.
If the "Browse" Button does not appear on your screen next
to "Upload File", you will need to upgrade your browser.
Image
Types
Only CompuServe
GIFs and JPEG files can be uploaded. Other file types like
bitmap (BMP) files do not work on the Web.
Attributes
The Image Content
tool allows you to change some of the attributes of an
Image, like ALT tags. ALT tags appear when a browser cannot
display an image for some reason. ALT tags should be
descriptive.
