Online
In operation. When a computer is up and running, it can be described as
Online. Also used to denote when someone is connected to the Internet.
Operating System (OS)
The Code that tells a computer how to react to events. Windows, MacOS, and
Unix are examples of Operating Systems. It is the internal traffic handler
of Computers. An Operating system is responsible for defining the types of
requests a computer can answer, and for directing requests to the computer
components, like your monitor, or printer. Operating Systems play a very
important role in determining your computer experience as a whole,
including how your monitor displays colors, and how your printer interprets
documents.
